Phaser Lock out Kit
The TSP Gen 5 L83 camshafts are custom designed for applications where the AFM lifters are being removed. By removing the AFM lifters, we are able to run lobes that offer better power and performance. You will have to purchase our TSP DOD Delete Kit for any of our L83 cams, which can be configuredhere.
All TSP Gen 5 L83 camshafts require the use of phaser Lock out kit, which is included in the Cam Package.
All of our TSP L83 camshafts were designed on our SuperFlow 902 engine dyno using an otherwise stock 5.3L L83 engine. We design and test many different camshafts before selecting the camshafts that we offer to our customers. This provides us with a distinct advantage of offering the best power curve possible without sacrificing overall performance, as well as knowing that what we offer is also safe and will not have any piston-to-valve clearance issues. We test our products before we sell them, so you KNOW that you are purchasing a camshaft that is proven!

I bought this truck not running with the understanding that i might need a new engine. I rebuilt it l, went .020 over due to an out of round bore. All new pistons, rods, and crank and a Texas Spped AFM/DOD delete kit with Stage 2 cam. I just installed the engine and got it running about 2 weeks ago. I'm still working out some issues, when the engine warms up my oil pressure drops from 45psi at start-up down to 16-18 psi when at 210 degrees. I installed a stock replacement GM pump, I may need a high volume hi pressure pump?? My main bearing clearances were .002" and its an aluminum block. Im looking for any suggestions.
As far as the transmission, its all over the map. From the looks of things it was rebuilt prior to me purchasing the truck and it was never filled with trans fluid and ran at all. The torque converter was empty and spotless inside along with the pan, nothing at all in there either.
Initially I didnt have 4th gear, based on articles and videos I saw I drained and dropped the pan and did a solenoid check with my scan tool. The #8 & #9 solenoid connectors were swapped. That some what fixed my issue with 4th gear but I have to let off the gas to allow the trans to shift. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks. I will gladly update my review once I work all the bugs out.

Sent them my ecm since I did a DOD delete on my silverado. I received a notification from ups that they received my computer in the morning and later that afternoon I received another notification that my unit was ready to be shipped back out to me. Super fast turn around and everything seems to.be doing ok. Will definitely order a hp tuner from them and start getting email tunes tho. Just like a little kid, I dont like waiting for stuff and email tune will arrive eve. Faster . Thanks again guys! You rock.
