Since we are one of the only companies that designs, grinds, and tests our camshafts in-house, we are able to constantly test for better lobes, grinds, and combinations! Our camshafts are the result of endless engine dyno testing on our SuperFlow 902 engine dyno using a factory GM L99 engine with factory cylinder heads. Our L99 Stage 1 camshaft will be a great choice for those looking to use their factory torque converter and want the best streetability possible. This camshaft will have a slight lope at idle and will be mild mannered on the street, yet still adds incredible power.

The L99 engine utilizes Variable Valve Timing (VVT) controlled via a cam phaser. Cam phasers are computer-controlled cam gears that automatically optimize camshaft timing based on the current engine RPM. While this technology provides tremendous efficiency benefits, it presents a challenge when designing performance cams due to the wide range of valve timing movement and constantly changing piston-to-valve clearance. With the help of Texas Speed's Superflow 902 engine dyno, we were able to custom design camshafts & phaser tuning tables to allow our L99 customers the ability to bolt on the ultimate in L99 performance! Thanks to the Superflow 902 dyno, Texas Speed is the only company that currently offers a VVT camshaft with a phaser table included to properly tune the camshaft once it's installed in your Camaro!
The VVT-1, VVT-2, VVT-3, and VVT-4 camshafts are all designed with more aggressive lobes that require the removal of the AFM lifters from your L99 vehicle. This will require the installer to remove the cylinder heads & install standard, non-DOD style lifters in place of the AFM lifters. If you do not want to remove your cylinder heads you might consider looking at the AFM-1, AFM-2, & AFM-3 camshafts. All three AFM series camshafts still feature full VVT control, but they also use weaker lobes that are designed to be compatible with AFM lifters!
Each L99 camshaft Texas Speed offers will require the use of a Comp Cams Phaser limiter kit. The phaser limiter restricts the range of cam timing movement from 50° to 20°. This modification provides the necessary valve clearance for serious performance camshafts with tighter lobe separations – while still utilizing the benefits of the VVT technology.
The VVT technology is an awesome step forward in technology that allows us to create camshafts that make huge high RPM horsepower while still making great power down low in the RPM band! The result is camshafts that can make over 100 flywheel horsepower gains while still making great low RPM power!




Cleetus McFarland "Bald Eagle" LS3 N/A Cam

Purchase the LS3 naturally aspirated verison of the Bald Eagle camshaft made famous by Cleetus McFarland and "Leroy", his savage C5 Corvette! The naturally aspirated version of the Bald Eagle camshaft is a great choice for engines running LS3 rectangular port heads and not running a supercharger. It will have a little bit more chop at idle vs. the boosted version of the LS3 Bald Eagle cam. It comes with a large dose of 'murica and full of bald eagles! While we will not release the complete specs of the camshaft, we can tell you that the duration @ .050" is 229/242 for the intake and exhaust, respectively. It is an easy camshaft to tune and has a nice lope at idle. Automatic-equipped vehicles will require a minimum of a 2,800 RPM stall speed torque converter. This cam can easily be daily driven with zero issues once tuned properly. We recommend pairing the Bald Eagle cam with our TSP dual spring kit that includes PAC Racing polished dual valve springs, titanium retainers, spring seats, and valve seals.
*This cam will only come in a 3-bolt cam core. If your car came from the factory with a single-bolt core, we do offer the 3-bolt upper timing sprocket and ARP cam bolt kit that will allow you to install the 3-bolt camshaft into your engine. Cam also requires the removal of DOD/AFM and VVT, if installed from the factory.

Using a brand new LS3 crate engine, we started from scratch to build the most powerful LS3 camshafts available in the country. Texas Speed & Performance continues to test and develop new designs to make sure that our customers have the BEST camshafts available!
The Stage 4 235/248 camshaft is the perfect choice for customers wanting the MOST powerful camshaft available that still offers adequate piston-to-valve clearance on a stock short-block. This TSP camshaft is designed for all-out power and shows gains over the stock camshaft beginning at 3,100 RPM. The cam will pull really hard from 4,500 RPM up to the 6,600 RPM HP peak. This TSP camshaft makes 93 flywheel HP more than the factory LS3 camshaft! We recommend a minimum stall speed of 3,600 RPM for this camshaft in auto-equipped vehicles for streetability, but it would benefit at the track from a 4,000+ RPM stall speed. This cam is designed for LS2/L76/LS3 engines using L92/LS3 rectangle port cylinder heads!
